Daylight savings / Window repair

Hello my friends,I recently wrote in my last blog I was going to lease a commercial building. Well after considering this real hard . I decided not to do this.My last two years has been great. I can't find good help so I will keep my place and continue to do what I'am doing. My customers are my pride and joy, I love meeting and talking with new customers every day. I enjoy doing this kind of work, glass table tops and mirrors are one of my specialty's. Insulated glass or double pane windows I can make in house with my machine. I have the same equipment  the big company's have but just a smaller scale. So if your window breaks, or you need a new mirror or table top please call me to have a talk and I will work a deal with you. After 33 years of working in this field I have found a good nest for me to use my skills and make my customers happy. I just want to thank all my customers and feel free to give me a call.

People in the same business

Hello my readers, recently I have been checking my competitors for pricing and quality. Also looking at them for the way they handle phone calls coming in.  Who is answering those calls and how much experience those people have telling you what you need to know. One, are they telling you the correct information about the products you need to know or want to buy.In my last
survey I found the competitor told the customer such a line I almost fell I the floor in tears. Please folks, when it comes to this trade , the glass and glazing field, call me and ask the questions.

2017 Window repaire

Well folks its another year,2017.Whats in store for us this year.As far as windows is concern there is nothing new this year yet.The only thing is my service to you.I will keep trying to help you as best I can.Trying to service Syracuse NY as best I can and as fast as I can.
I have a new employee,he has worked for Solvay glass in the past only in the management side of the busines.I'am tring to train him like I didmy son, and by the way my son has moved on to NYC to be a investment banker.

Glass talk

Hey Folks, Martin here your local glass guy.Iam amazed at the way windows are made these days.Cheaper and cheaper. The glass has not changed, but the installation and material has changed that make up the window frame and sash,as we call it.The companys that make these windows have changed the format from a skilled labor to any of the mill factory work. What this means to the consumer is you are no longer getting a custom made window, Done in repetition and the person putting the parts together is just going through the steps.

Fall Post

Hello my customers: This is a little glass talk about whats happening in the glass industry in Syracuse NY.As of September 1st 2016 I have found out that Solvay glass is no longer doing repair work in the glass industry. This means they will not warranty any of there past work, also they are giving a hardware store out as a alternative to there place. Then I have found out that City Hardwear is the place they are giving out to do there work. They are not glass people. No one that works there can do that type of work.

Summer and Spring ????? 2016

Well folks another Spring & Summer is around the corner. We are all looking at our properties and sayingwhat projects will we get done this year.Myself Iam looking to start an addition that I have in planning stages for about two years or more.I have just finished a add on deck for our pool and it looks good.So the next step is too add a set of patio doors off the back of the house, this will lead to our new room that is going into construction as we speak.I had a couple of ideas to go two stories then three, with a basement, but when you start adding everything in and sizes ,it gets a little complicated.

Glass company's history

Well,it is another year has started ,as I look back over the years ,working with my father from the age of 18 to 30 .Those years were great,I learned, but growing up in the glass industry was fun, when I was little and another boy in the neighborhood broke a glass in some other house they would call my father for the deal.Ofcourse my dad very seldom charged them, unless it was to big of a job to give away. Then I was the childhood hero.My Dad was the best,a WW- 2 veteran and being born in 1924,man the things he saw and went through,my hero.

Merry Christmas

Hi everyone, well another year has just about past.Today is Christmas eve,I thought I would write a post to all and say Merry Christmas.I was just thinking of my father .
My father has past in 1992,he was in the same type of business,of course that is how I have learned this trade.I remember all the times I use to go with my father on Saturdays to work ,because I was not old enough to work in a shop yet.You had to be 18 years old .
